Overview: Having discussed the properties of the three states of matter, the students will sort objects into the proper categories, solid, liquid, or gas.

Standards: Science, Grade Two, Solids and Liquids
#IV-2 Sort materials according to properties

Activity Steps:
1. Explain and demonstrate the sorting activity to the class.
2. Each student will complete the activity by dragging the pictures to the appropriate sorting box.
3. Print each child’s work.

Assessment: Student must correctly place 8 of 10 (80%) pictures in the appropriate boxes.
