Mrs. Dunn's Second Grade
Central Elementary School
Okemos, MI

We are still in the midst of our Whale unit so we have made excellent use of all the wonderful activities and resources the other classes have done. We study whales as part of our larger Science Unit on “Using Water: How You Use and Change Water”. Whales serve as a “bridge” to a secondary unit we will be doing in May on Endangered Animals. Along with art, computer, math, science and other literacy activities we do, we learned about haiku poetry and wrote our own Whale Haiku. We hope you enjoy these poems.
