Odds and Ends Scrapbook
On September 21 we celebrated Pinwheels for Peace by placing pinwheels that we made in art in front of our school. There were over 500 pinwheels by the time all the classes placed their pinwheels!
We elected one boy and one girl to represent our class on Student Council. Here are our representatives. We know they will do a great job!
Here is the gang as they went out for the PTO Walk-a-thon on October 5. It was a very hot day. Our Simply Special Student was our photographer for these shots!
During Red Ribbon week we did some crazy things. Here are some of the interesting socks worn on Sock Day. The sock pictures were taken by our Simply Special Student that week Hayley.
Here are some of the shrunken heads we made for Halloween. We "shrunk" the heads by peeling apples, carving a face, dipping them in lemon juice and salt, and adding cloves for eyes. We put them on the food dehydrator to "shrink." When they were dry, we strung them and added hair on top for a lovely Halloween necklace.
Here representatives from each fourth grade classroom and multiage 3/4 gather with some of the boxes for our November service project Operation Christmas Child. Grace and Michael managed the boxes for our class and we sent them on to a local church for shipping.
