Overview: Having read and studied the unit on the United States of America and its symbols, the students will match symbols with the correct vocabulary word.

Standards: Social Studies, Grade Two, Symbols of Our Country

Activity Steps:
1. Explain and demonstrate the sorting activity to the class.
2. Each student will complete the activity by dragging and placing the word with the appropriate picture.
3. Print each student’s work.

Assessment: Student must correctly match 8 of 10 (80%) of the words and symbols.
