Kidspiration Realistic or Fantasy? Activity

Overview: On completion of the Reading Unit, Snapshots, the students will be asked to sort a group of pictures into Super Groupers labeled "Realistic Characters" or "Fantasy Characters."

Standards: Develop comprehension, thinking, and problem solving skills, Grade Two, PO #1 Students will identify character traits. Use books and other printed materials to obtain knowledge, Grade Two, PO #3 Students will identify genre and the characters which support the various classifications.

Activity Steps:

Explain and demonstrate the sorting activity to the clas.
Each student will complete the activity by dragging and placing the character pictures into the appropriate Super Grouper.
Each student will print his/her work.

Assessment: Student must correctly place 8 of 10 (80%) of the pictures.
