Our
class read When This Box Is Full by Patricia Lillie.
In this book a child fills an empty box with items to represent
each month of the year. We used this book to help us learn the
months in order. We each decorated a "treasure box"
for our favorite month and filled it with items to represent
this special month. Many students chose their birthday month.
Then,
we made a group book using the model of When This Box Is
Full. In our book we filled a soup pot. Since you would
make soup in a day instead of a year, we used times of the day
in our story instead of months. Here is our story:
