Noah: I like second grade because we get to do centers. I like reading the Frog and Toad books too. My favorite character is Toad because he has a funny voice. It is kind of grouchy. I have two dogs at home named Molly and Maddie. I think when I grow up I want to be a vet. I really like animals. I really wish I had a frog. I had a tadpole but it died.

Michael: I like second grade because we have a frog in our room. I like to watch him eat. I like when I get to work on our computer. I like to play the number cruncher game. I really like to swing outside at recess with my friends. I like to swing high! I am having fun at school.

Alyssa: I like coming to Greentown School because we learn lots of stuff. I like learning our “Frog Jump Letters” in handwriting. I like reading Magic Treehouse books. They teach you stuff when you read them. I like to spell words too. I have a dog at home named Toby. My favorite lunch at school is the French toast sticks. When I grow up I want to be a nurse because I like to take care of people.

Alex : I like to play four square outside at recess. I think we have a fun playground. I like when we do centers at school. We have computers at centers and I get to work at some games. My favorite is when we play “Trudie’s Time and Place”. I like to play football for the YMCA. My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is pizza. I like sausage and cheese on it.

Devin: I like second grade a lot. I like our room. It has lots of frogs in it. I like math. I want to learn about Health and how our bodies are made. My favorite color is blue. I like to play football. I play flag football for Greentown. When I grow up I want to build very tall buildings.

Mitch : I want to learn how to multiply this year. I think our school is good because everyone is nice. My favorite color is green. I like to play football. I play flag football at Lake. My favorite team is the Chargers. When I grow up I want to go into the Army because they help save the world. My favorite subject in school is math.

Hayley: I really like our school. We get to do math and Mrs. Cropper makes the odd and even numbers fun. We have good food at our school too. My favorite is our pizza. My favorite color is purple. I like to read books about dogs. I like them because I really like dogs. When I grow up I want to be a vet. I really wish I had a horse. Horses are my favorite animals.

Marissa: Our school is fun because I like to read and write. I like to write stories about frog and toad. We are reading the Frog and Toad books right now and I like them a lot. My favorite character is Toad. I like him because he is funny. He dances and sings really funny. When I grow up I want to be a teacher. I think it would be fun.

Julia: I like to do math. I think it is fun to count ten sticks. My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is pizza. I like onions, peppers, pepperoni, and sausage on it. I like to read Junie B. Jones books with my mom. I think the chapter books are cool. When I am older I want to work at Build A Bear. I could make stuffed animals all the time.

Andrew: I like our school because it is nice here. I like our gym a lot. I like to play “Star Wars” in our gym class. It is really fun. I like to play outside with my friends. We play a game called “Catchers Up”. I want learn how to read better in second grade. I like to read books about football. My favorite football team is the Steelers. I like math too. We learn new things.

Emily: I am excited about second grade because I get to meet new friends. I like to play outside at recess with my friends. In school I really like math because it is fun. I like reading the Frog and Toad books. I like Toad the best because he is funny. I have two dogs at home named Timber and Chase. I like to play ball with them outside. When I grow up I want to be a teacher. I think it looks fun!

Mackenzie: I like 2^nd grade. We have class pets that are cool. There are frogs everywhere in our room and I like that. My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is pizza. I like pepperoni, sausage, and cheese pizza the best. When I grow up I want to be a vet. I will get to see animals all the time. I use to play soccer but now I am taking gymnastics at the YMCA. I like to work on the bars.

Dominic: I love second grade so far because I got the teacher I wanted. I like centers a lot!! I like that we get to do them. I love math too. I hope I learn how to do times. I also need to learn how to subtract better. I like to read too. I like to read Boomer books. My favorite is called Boomer Goes to School. When I grow up I want to join the Army because I want to fight for our country.

Jeremiah: My favorite color is red. I have a cat at home and a baby kitten too. I like school. I really like to play kickball at recess. I like to read the Frog and Toad books and books about frogs. When I grow up I want to play football for the Browns. I really like them.

Annie: I like second grade a lot. I like to do centers because I get to work on the computer and I get to write a lot. My favorite color is purple and my favorite subject is reading. I like to read chapter books. I am going to play basketball this year and soccer. I want to be a teacher when I am older because I like school and I want to help kids learn.

Michael: I think we have a good school. We play a lot of cool games in gym class. We also have great recesses. I like to play kickball, play four square, and swing on the swings. My favorite colors are black and orange. They are Hoover colors! I like to play flag football. I really like the Greenbay Packers. I use to like Brett Favre but he doesn’t play there anymore. When I grow up I want to play for them.

Eden: I like school. I think we have a fun lunchroom. My favorite lunch at school is Macaroni and cheese. At recess I like to play on the monkey bars. My favorite colors are red and green. I have one cat, one dog, and three hermit crabs at home. My mom and dad got them for me in Florida. I want to be a vet when I am older because I can see lots of animals. I wish I could have a bunny for a pet. At school I like to read. I like the Frog and Toad books. Toad is my favorite because he is funny.

Kaitlin: In school I like to do math. I want to learn how to subtract big numbers. My favorite color is purple. I like to read the Frog and Toad books. I have two horses, two dogs, three cats, a hermit crab, and one guppy at home. I like to ride my horses a lot. My horses’ names are Magnum and Bell. When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian because I can help animals when they are hurt or sick.

Bettina: I like doing math in school. I think it is fun to learn new things. So far, I learned a secret to help me with odd and even numbers. I like to read books about frogs. My favorite color is yellow and my favorite foods are bananas and this chocolate rice that my mom makes. When I grow up I want to be a chef because it is fun making food. I like second grade because we have gym and art too.

Meghan: I like to count by threes and fours in math. I just learned how to do that this year. My favorite animal is horse. I have rode one before at my cousin’s house. When I grow up I want to be a vet because I like animals a lot. I am exited about spelling this year. I like to read Junie B. Jones books. I like them because they are funny. She is always yelling and being silly.

Kylie: I like second grade because we do math. I like to do math problems. My favorite color is purple and my favorite food is corn and peas. I like to eat it on the cob in the summer. I like to read the Biscuit books at school. I take Greek dancing classes at my church.
