Mrs. Harhager's Class Is Flying High on the Web!

Welcome to Mrs. Harhager's second grade classroom at Greentown Elementary School in North Canton, Ohio. There are 9 girls and 14 boys in our class. Come in and visit us. See what we are doing in our room and meet the boys and girls in room 110. We are really flying in second grade!

If you could go anywhere in the world in a hot air balloon, where would you go? What would you see? What would you do?

 Corrie: I would like to go on a hot air balloon ride to Minnesota to see my cousins. I would play pretend puppies with Katie, Aden, Ellika, Brynn, Capra and Jaden.

Lizzie: I would go to Hollywood to be a movie star and I’d make my own movie and I would be famous. Everybody would like me and they would make a fan club.

Kayleigh: I would travel in a hot air balloon to Disney World so I could ride on a roller coaster. I’d stay in a hotel with my family. I would love to see all of the Disney characters.

Omar: I would ride in a hot air balloon to Florida because I could go on a boat ride and swim in the ocean with my family. I would like to get a hotel on the beach. Then I could collect shells and swim all day.

Jesus: I would like to go on a hot air balloon ride to Alaska. I want to play in the snow. I would build an igloo and go sledding with huskies.

Justin: I would like to travel in a hot air balloon to Fort Worth, Texas to see my grandmother. I want to go to a rodeo and watch calf roping and bull riding. My grandma has a specialty for cooking sausage and she lives right next to a pizza place. Umm! I can smell it now.

Hadi: Hawaii is where I would go on a hot air balloon ride. I will swim in the ocean because that would be fun. I can look for shells and I could stay in a hotel.

April: I would like a hot air balloon to take me to Alaska. I can get pulled on a sled by huskies. Also I could make a boat out of icebergs. I could play in an igloo and I could throw snowballs in a snow fort.

AnnaMarie: I would fly in a hot air balloon to Mexico. I will be tanning on the beach. I would swim in the swimming pool at the hotel. It would be fun!

Mack: I would go to Disney World in a hot air balloon. I would like to meet the Disney characters and ride the rides. I would go with my family.

David: A hot air balloon could take me to the Rainforest. I would see animals like caterpillars, monkeys, and poison lizards.

Gia: I would like to get on a hot air balloon and travel to the place that has Disney Cruises. I would swim with the dolphins. I would explore dolphins, sharks and pretty fish. I would bring my dog, Daisy, if the hotel would let us. My family would have a great time.

Adam: I would ride on a hot air balloon to Alabama because I want to see a Nascar race. I would go with my dad because he knows all about Nascar.

Matthew: I would go to California on a hot air balloon. I would want to see a Hannah Montana concert.

Madison: I would like to land my hot air balloon on Greentown’s playground. I would swing on the swings and slide down the slides with my friend Corrie.

Andrea: A hot air balloon ride to Ocean City, Maryland would be fun. I would swim in the pools and swim in the ocean too. I would ride the rides down at the music park.

Chance: I would like to go to the beach in a hot air balloon. I would like to swim in the ocean. I would stay in a hotel with my family. I would collect shells go to the aquarium. Maybe I would catch crabs and bring them back to keep for pets.

Reilly: I would like to land a hot air balloon at Cedar Point. I would jump out just above a roller coaster on the top of the hill. I’d scream as I went down the first big hill.

Brynn: I would like to fly to Delaware in a hot air balloon. I would go with my family to visit my Aunt Elaine and Uncle Ed at their house. I would love to go swimming.

Cole: I would fly in a hot air balloon to Florida because I want to go to Disney World. My family would stay in a hotel and we would go swimming in the pool and then go on all the rides at Disney World.

Josh: I would like to go on a hot air balloon ride to North Carolina so I could swim with dolphins. I would go Putt-putting every day with my family.

Brian: I would fly in a hot air balloon to Florida to see my cousin, Anna. She is a baby and I only got to see her two times and then she moved to Florida with her parents.

John: I would like to fly in a hot air balloon to the African Rainforest. I like building houses so I would build houses there. I also like animals a lot! I hope that I can see lions, monkeys and parrots.

• Weekly Reader – Our class has learned so much about the world that we live in by reading "Weekly Reader" and by visiting the web site offered by this children’s newspaper. This is a great place to check for facts that children our age would be interested in reading about. The site offers information and activities to go along with the topics presented in the weekly newspaper for kids.
