Ohio's Historic
Canals, Canal Society Of Ohio
Ohio’s Historic Canals lists locations in Ohio where remnants
of Ohio’s 1,000-mile network of canals, constructed between 1825
and 1847, may be seen. Have students visit the Web site to see
the lists for the Ohio & Erie Canal and the Miami & Erie Canal.
Linked pages provide a map of Ohio canals and an introduction
to the Canal Society of Ohio.

Artifacts Page
Indian Artifacts, a Web site that features pictures from the
Ohio Historical Society, shows artifacts of the Adena people of
early Ohio. Visitors to the Web site can read about and view photos
of an Adena mound, a pipe, model home, and flint spear points.
