Welcome to my homepage! This is my ninth year as a Title I Reading teacher in the North Canton City Schools. When I began my career, I taught first and second grade for eight years prior to becoming a mother. Our family lived in Ballwin (West St. Louis County), Missouri. My son, Mark, is a graduate of Truman State University(MO). He actually moved to Ohio before I did and is employed by Millcraft Paper Company in Cleveland. Mark's wife, Ali, is a first grade teacher. My daughter, Amy, is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St.Louis. She was employed by the Missouri Alliance for Children. Amy and her husband, Anthony, are the proud parents of my granddaughter, Moriah, who was born on April 1, 2008. Anthony is a pharmacist with CVS in Cleveland. Prior to moving to Ohio in 2001, I was a Title I Reading teacher for two years in suburban St. Louis.
I love teaching reading! It is thrilling to be an integral part of the young reader's delight as he/she discovers the magic of the printed page. I am looking forward to meeting you and working with many of your children.
