Welcome to my homepage! I am thrilled to be a fifth grade teacher at Northwood Elementary! All of the fifth grade teachers, including myself, have many exciting activities planned for this year.
This is my sixth year at Northwood Elementary School but my eleventh year teaching. This year, I will be teaching writing, grammar, and spelling to my homeroom, and I'll teach math to all four classes. I am very fortunate because writing and math have always been my two favorite subjects, and now I get to teach both!
I would like to encourage all parents to check your child's "Take Home Folder" each night for communication items from me and the school. The students' planner is a valuable communication tool as well, so be sure to check it to see nightly homework assignments. We take the time every afternoon to fill out the planner together, so if you notice blank pages night after night, please let me know. I hope that showing you the planner will become each child's personal responsibility!
