Welcome to my homepage! My name is Dawn Lute and I teach sixth grade general science at the middle school. I am very excited about all of the cool stuff we will learn this year. We will expand our minds by exploring rocks and minerals, cells, heredity, nature of matter, process skillsand lab safety. We will even use garbage and mini skateboards to address other academic content standards. Also, we will conduct some surprise labs focusing on certain content standards. Wow!! We have quite a bit of material to cover.
Now a little data about me... I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. Go Bearcats!!!!!!!! I have a master's degree in curriculum, instruction and assessment. I am married and have two boys . During the spring , summer, and fall I enjoy almost anything that you can do outdoors. My winter activities involve reading by the fireplace,catching-up on movies, sled riding and spending time with my family and friends.
My first love is science! I am fortunate enough to be able to teach and share new ideas as well as my passion for science with you. Thank you for visiting my homepage and I hope you have a great year.
