Welcome to Second Grade! I'm Lauri Cerreta and I am delighted to be teaching your children at Northwood Elementary! I graduated from Hoover High School and I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Miami University. I substitute taught for 4 years, then stayed home to be with my young children. Prior to teaching second grade, I had been been an Educational Assistant with the North Canton City Schools for 6 years: 4 years at the Kindergarten Center and 2 years at Northwood. I attended Walsh University and completed the necessary course work in order to renew my teaching license. I feel very blessed to be able to teach your children here at Northwood.
My husband, Mark, and I have three children: Sam, who is a Walsh University graduate, working for Alcon in sales; Anna, who is a junior at Capital University; and Joe, who is a freshman at the University of Cinncinati. We also have a cat, Murphy. I enjoy reading, movies, and traveling.
Our 2009 - 2010 class consists of 10 girls and 13 boys. Our outstanding curriculum and creative team-teaching approach will ensure your child's success.
