Welcome to my homepage! This is my eleventh year teaching in North Canton City Schools and my 18th year in education.    I spent seven years teaching Title 1 Reading and three years teaching fourth grade at Orchard Hill. I also taught fourth grade and second grade prior to moving to North Canton.  I tutored privately for over ten years. This year I have moved to the middle school.  I'm very excited to be teaching 7th grade reading on the white team!

Reading is one of my greatest passions. I like to read a variety of genres and am always in the middle of a good book.  I have also enjoyed reading to my children throughout the years.  I want to teach my students to love reading as much as I do!

My husband's name is Kevin. We have two children, both attending North Canton City Schools. Jessica is a sophomore and Logan is in third grade. We also have a white-faced pied cockatiel. His name is Rascal. 

I graduated from Malone College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  Most recently I've been trained in The Primary Literacy Academy, Guided Reading,  The Wilson Reading System, and Fundations. 

My goal is to help all children succeed AND feel good about themselves. I believe that we are all a TEAM working together!  I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
