Welcome to my homepage! I am the Social Studies teacher on Team 6 White. I have taught pre-school, elementary, and special education. This is my 18th year in education! I am married and have three children: Laura is married to Cole and lives in North Canton.  David enjoys WEB design, and Andrew is a junior at Akron University majoring in Business. I love being a grandma to Harrison Cole, too! Reading, walking, gardening, cooking, shopping, Bible study, stamping, and relaxing with family and friends are some of my favorite activities. It is wonderful to live and work in North Canton.

Your student will have the opportunity to be challenged in a variety of areas in 6th grade Social Studies.  We begin by reviewing map skills and introducing the 5 Themes of Geography. These 5 Themes will carry over throughout the school year.  Geography and map skills will expand into every unit.  Many ancient civilizations are explored in detail in 6th grade; these civilizations will include Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, the Mayas, the Aztecs, and the Incas.  We, also, look at economics and government systems.  Finally, we acquire information on world religions and compare Christianity, Islam, Buddism, Hinduism, and Judaism.
