Hello & welcome to my homepage! I am Mrs. Wackerly and will be teaching 8th grade Science this year at NCMS. I have taught 7th grade science for 5 years at Taft Middle School in Plain Local, and this will be my eighth year here at NCMS. I love it at NCMS, and you will too! I graduated with honors from Walsh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and have my Master's degree in the art of teaching & curriculum. I am co-chair of our science department and always have found science to be so much fun! I promise you will find it just as exciting!

I am happily married, and have three children; Jared, Nicole, & John. Jared is a sophomore at the University of Akron and is playing college football, while majoring in finance. Nicole is a senior at Hoover and very involved with many extracurricular activities. Our youngest son, John, is 9 years old and is in third grade at Northwood. He keeps us very busy, and very entertained!  I have two other "babies" at home - 2 black lab puppies, named Shadow & Eclipse.

I enjoy gardening, reading, traveling to the beach, cooking, photography and spending quality time with my family. I have recently started scrapbooking, too! I love ALL sports, but I really love just having fun. That is why I try to find new exciting topics, projects, and experiments for class all the time. We will be engaged in learning, always. Sometimes, you won't even know it!
