Welcome to my Homepage!

Welcome students, parents, and friends. I would like to take this opportunity to share some information with you about myself. I am a sixth grade Reading teacher on team 6 White.   I am a graduate of The Ohio State University, and have completed post-graduate work at Kent State University and Ashland University. This marks my 28th year of teaching; the last 20 of which have been spent teaching in North Canton. My previous professional experiences include teaching remedial reading (Canton City) and 5th grade (Worthington, Ohio).
In addition to teaching 6th grade Reading, I also serve the district as a mentor teacher and the sixth grade Language Arts Department Chair.
My immediate family includes Larry, my husband of 34 years and a dentist in North Canton, my daughter and son in law, Erica (29) and Jeremy (29) Unger, son, Greg, ( 25), and baby granddaughter, Kiersten Sophie, (18 months). 
In my spare time I enjoy reading, gourmet cooking, interior decorating, and travel.

I am looking forward to a terrific 2009-2010 school year and to meeting my new students and their families.
