Welcome to my homepage! I am excited to be the English teacher for Team 7 Black again this year.  I will be teaching the English and Enriched English classes on the team. This will be my fifth year at NCMS, as I taught math in 8th grade for three years before moving to Team 7 Black last year.  I am licensed in both language arts and math.
I graduated from Carrollton High School in 1991 and got my first degree in Broadcasting and Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College near Cleveland in 1995.  I put my broadcasting degree to work as I spent seven years as a radio announcer for WQKT Radio in Wooster, OH.  I then returned to school, this time at the University of Akron, in 2003 to pursue a degree in Middle Level Education.  I graduated from Akron in 2005 and I began teaching at NCMS the following fall.  I recently completed my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University.  My wife, Melissa, and I were married in 2004, and we live in Green.  We have a daughter, Ava, who was born just before the school year started.
I am expecting this year in English to be exciting for myself and all of my students. We will doing many activities designed to accomplish our objectives while still having a lot of fun! We will be focused on becoming better writers, a skill that is so important in our information-rich world.  We will strive to meet the standards that have been put forth for each of the students, and we will all look forward to becoming better writers in the process.
