Welcome to my home page! Allow me the opportunity to share a little about myself with you...
My family is the center of my world. I love spending my time with my husband, Don, of fifteen years, daughter, Shannon, thirteen years old, and son, Luca, age nine. As a family, we especially enjoy the outdoors, no matter what the season! When the weather is not conducive to four-wheeling, snow-play, cooking out, or swimming, we surround ourselves with good books, games, and art projects. Family tops my list of priorities!
Teaching is a very important part of my life. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ohio University and was hired by North Canton City Schools in 1989. After being assigned to a first grade position at Northwood Elementary School, I earned my master's degree in education from Akron University. I then taught at the sixth grade level in this district, specifically, science and language arts curriculums. Currently, I am a Reading and Study Skills teacher at North Canton Middle School, happily working with academic and exploratory teams of all grade levels. I am truly a life-long learner, as I am developing professionally all the time, whether it be through independent study or university coursework. Teaching makes my life complete!
I am proud to to be employed for the 20th year in a district where a supportive community, a committed student-body, and a professional staff and administration work together to help create an exciting future for us all! Here's to North Canton City Schools and a great 2009-10 school year!
