Welcome to 5th Grade. This is my eighth year of teaching at Northwood and my eleventh year overall. This year I will be teaching social studies and writing. I have a Masters degree in Education and a second Master degree in Administration. I have been married for ten years and I have three children Augustine, (patron saint of theologians) Cecilia, (patron saint of music) and Sebastian (patron saint of athletes). In December, we are expecting our fourth child! Yes, it has to be a three syllable-saint name. In the summer I spend much of my time playing with my family and enjoying my second career, painting. I am a North Canton grad and I had straight A's in school. My B's were crooked, but my A's were straight! I would like to encourage all parents to check your child's "Take Home Folder" each night for communication items from me and the school. The students' planner can be a valuable communication tool as well, so be sure to check it to see nightly homework assignments. We take the time every afternoon to fill out the planner together, so if you notice blank pages night after night, please talk with your child. I hope that showing you the planner will become each child's personal responsibility. I am looking forward to a great school year!
