“Ice Cream for Books” Summer Reading Award Winners
Fall 2009

Summer Reading Program Top Readers!
A total of 183 students participated in our 2009 summer reading program.  They set a new school-wide record by reading a total of 413,279 pages!  The Grand Prize grade level winning team will have their grade level engraved on the Summer Reading Program plaque that hangs in the main hallway.  The winning grade level is:                    Third Grade having read 115,235 pages!
           
Grand Prize Winners per Grade Level:
All will receive a $15.00 gift card from Borders; a custom made “Northwood Summer Reading Champ” T-shirt; a special reading certificate; and an “Ice Cream for Books” bookmark.

            Fourth Grade:  Christopher Thomas         read 8,010 pages
            Third Grade:  Tess Cunningham                read 10,913 pages
            Second Grade:  Sean Link                           read 7,076 pages
            First Grade:   Elle Mason                             read 6,731 pages
