Northwood Scholastic Book Fair & Right to Read Week

     This year’s Scholastic Book Fair and Right to Read Week was held the week of March 10, 2008.  The theme was “Take a Reading Road Trip!” which was a lot of fun! 

     This annual event included many exciting  activities:  Daily Live TV Morning Announcements, Visits to the Book Fair, Book Fair Family Night, Special Guest Readers, Teacher Switch Readers, Daily Book Reviews, Guessing Games with a chance to win gift certificates to make purchases at the Book Fair, One for Books program, Teacher Wish List program, First Grade Lunch with a Loved One; Build a Book program and of course The Storybook Character Parade! 

     The Book Fair Family Night was held Wednesday, March 12, 2008.

     The Character Parade was held the afternoon of Friday, March 14 with a “Stop, Drop and Read” at the end of the parade which is the culminating activity for the week. (ALL STAFF and STUDENTS participate -  so start planning your costumes!)
