Dear Mrs. Mizer's class:
Stanley spent the weekend with the Ash family. He was very impressed with the
wonderful singing and musical sounds he heard in the music room during the time
he spent there. I told him that the children at Orchard Hill are wonderful singers
and musicians, and he agreed. On Friday we had to run a few errands, but he
got to see a little bit of the city of Massillon, Ohio and Jackson Township
where we live. Stanley is a very nice house guest. . He doesn't make any messes,
and he doesn't eat much either.
On Saturday we had a fun morning. We took him with us to the YMCA in North Canton for the family fun fest. We did so many things. We played on the inflatable toys, did a scavenger hunt, and had lunch there too. We didn't think it would be a very good idea for Stanley to go into the pool with Mr. Puddles, though. After the YMCA we went to BJ'S Wholesale Club for a special trick-or- treat day. We saw some DARE officers, firemen, a fire truck, and Mr. Gretsky, the new coach of the Arctic Express Hockey team. We also saw some great costumes and got lots of candy. On Saturday afternoon, we had to do some chores at home. Mr. Ash took care of all the leaves in the yard. We also had to clean the whole house. Since we worked hard, we had pizza for dinner and then watched some videos for a treat. We thought it was great that we got to stay up an extra hour since the time changed.
On Sunday, we went to church in Canton. We also went out to lunch. Kenleigh and Ethan (the Ash children) were very excited for Sunday afternoon because it was trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. Stanley stayed home to help pass out treats with Mr. Ash. The weather was great, and they had a lot of trick-or-treaters come to the house.
On Monday, Stanley got to go to work with Mr. Ash at Fed Ex Custom Critical in Akron, Ohio. He had to get up at 5:00 am in order to get to work on time. What a busy place! Mr. Ash talks to people all around the world in order to ship things carefully and so that they can arrive on time. Stanley thought it would be great fun to meet some of the drivers that Mr. Ash talks to He Couldn't wait to meet Mike and Gail Swiger who are some of Mr. Ash's best drivers and also his good friends. The Swigers are a husband and wife who drive for Fed Ex Custom Critical. Their truck is the coolest. It is like a house on wheels. It has a microwave, a bed and everything! Stanley got to go to them through the fax machine. I bet that was a really cool trip! We can't wait to hear what all he shared with Mr. and Mrs. Swiger!
Thanks for sending Stanley to visit us. I can't wait to hear about some of his other adventures.
Mrs. Ash, Mr. Ash, Kenleigh, and Ethan
