Welcome to the student-operated
television studio and control room located in Hoover High School.
Our digital studio and control room were built in 2003 to
allow our students the ability to work with some of the most
advanced television equipment available to high school juniors
and seniors.
Each day our seniors create their own news program called
HVTV, which airs in the North Canton community and our high
school on channel 11.
Our studio is equipped to hold up to two permanent sets
and two interchangeable sets for our student-produced television
shows. It is equipped with a light grid, curtain cycle, Sony
DSR 250 cameras, teleprompters, and 30 Mole Richardson studio
lights.
The control room is configured with a Ross Synergy 100 Production
Switcher, Compix CG station, Avid Lanshare EX, Intelliprompter,
Set Graphics Station, 24-channel Strand Light Board, and
20-channel Mackie Audio Mixer. The production truck style
configuration with stadium seating allows up to nine students
to be working during a show.
